We are interested in the evolution of gene families and genomes. In particular we are studying the changes in gene function after duplication events. We are involved in several genome projects particularly in fish, but also other vertebrates. We conduct research on the molecular basis of adaptations and mating barriers and the origin of species at several levels of biological organization.
