Evolutionary genetics and genomics

My work is evolutionary genetics, the application of knowledge about genetic mechanisms to the understanding of evolution. I use both experimental and theoretical approaches. Current work concerns analyses of the relationships between recombination rates and patterns of molecular evolution and variation, and analyses of the strength of selection acting on coding and non-coding sequences.
