Tumour-stroma interactions in cancer metastasis

Our laboratory studies how tumour cells recruit and activate stromal cells during tumour progression and the colonisation of distant, secondary sites. In addition we study how crosstalk between the tumour cells and the microenvironment modulates therapeutic responses. Our goal is to identify novel strategies for the prevention or suppression of metastatic disease, and to reduce treatment-resistant tumour progression.
