Functional properties of intestinal stem cells

My lab investigates the functional organisation of intestinal stem cells using genetically modified mouse models and quantitative clonal approaches to understand the rules governing their renewal and replacement. Our objectives are to identify the altered arrangement of stem cells in pathologies such as inflammation and cancer, and to devise methods that allow equivalent analysis in human samples.
