A major theme of my lab's research has been the role of acetylcholine as modulator of neuro-specific gene expression in development. This problem has been studied in two experimental systems: neuroblastoma cell lines and dorsal root ganglia. More recently my research interest has been devoted to the characterization of Neural Precursors (NP) from different brain regions and maintenance of regional specification
