With both basic and translational approaches to molecular oncology, my group is mainly focused on the mechanisms of tumor initiation and progression, with a long lasting commitment to the study of the p53 oncosuppressor and its neighbourhood, to the dissection of wt/mut p53 and other oncogenic pathways' regulatory networks, primarily in cancer development and metastasis, but also in other pathological conditions such as neurodegenerative diseases.
