Structural biology where the focus is on components of the innate immune system in order to discover the molecular basis of detecting and responding to exogenous and endogenous danger signals. Both soluble proteins and membrane bound proteins are investigated. In addition, antibody and nanobody based inhibitor development is pursued with the aim of controlling both acute and chronic inflammatory conditions.
