Several research programmes in our lab aim at understanding plant developmental responses to light quality changes that induce shade avoidance response in most of the angiosperms. Furthermore, our group is interested in understanding the role of HD-Zip II transcription factors – previously implicated in shade avoidance response – in embryo patterning and meristem formation and maintenance.
