Eukaryotic DNA replication

We study how DNA replication origins are licensed and how they are activated during S phase. We are interested in how the MCM replicative helicase is loaded as a double hexamer at origins and how a set of 'firing factors' activates the MCM helicase. We are also interested in how this process is regulated during the cell cycle and in response to DNA damage. Increasingly, we are interested in how this pathway is misregulated in cancer.
