My group studies transport of lysosomal proteins and lysosome biogenesis in health and disease. We investigate the role of components of the HOPS and CORVET complex, which are increasingly recognized as causative genes for myopathies, neurological and multisystem disorders. We also want to understand how lysosomes contribute to cancer metastasis and cancer cell death.
