Molecular mechanisms of Viruses and Cancer

I am a retrovirologist with experience in oncogenes (discovery of Myc transcription factor and Raf kinase), signal transduction in normal, tumor and metstatic cells, emphasis on PDZ domain proteins interacting with metastatic Src, now analyzed by expression profiling. Replication of retroviruses, HIV, exploiting the RNase H (I discovered) for microbicide driving HIV into suicide. Endogenous viruses and cancer, genetherapy, viruses and evolution.
