The long term objective of our research is to understand how plants respond and adapt to desiccation and related stresses. The general goal is to identify and functionally characterize new and known Abcisic acid (ABA) regulated genes that play a role in plant responses to water stress in order to develop novel and efficient means for improved plant resistance to drought.
