My research group's interests focus on the evolution of the genetic regulation of plant growth. We study growth-regulatory mechanisms in the model angiosperm Arabidopsis and compare them with those in non-angiosperm genetic models, to investigate how these mechanisms arose during land-plant evolution. Additionally, we study evolution and adaptation of wheat, comparing the genomes of cultivated wheat with those of its wild progenitors.
