Regulation of flowering time and tree phenology

The research in my group is focused on the two model systems, Arabidopsis and poplar. We want to understand the level of functional conservation of genes regulating flowering time in annual plants and the seasonal control of bud set, dormancy and bud break (phenology) in perennial trees. With this approach, we aim to gain more insight into mechanisms important for the control of growth and local adaptation in both annual and perennial plants.
