My group studies how cells and tissues detect and respond to mechanical signals from their environment, such as tissue rigidity or ligand presentation. We combine molecular biology, biophysical techniques, and theoretical modelling to unravel how molecular players from the extracellular matrix to the nucleus determine the mechanisms involved, and their implications in different physiological conditions.
