Our laboratory is working on epigenetics using X-inactivation in the mouse as an experimental paradigm. Studies are centred on the initiation onset step and the role of the X-inactivation centre, the master regulator region. Ongoing genetic studies explore the role of epistasis in the mouse using chromosome substitution strains.
