My research group studies the molecular mechanisms of recognition and regulation that underlie biomedical important processes. Our major expertise is in protein crystallography and its application to large multi-domain human plasma proteins and cell-surface receptors. We focus on key steps in the human immune defense by the complement system and, recently, adult stem cell differentiation and proliferation.
