Centrosomes in development and disease

Centrosomes are the main microtubule organising centers of animal cells and have important functions in mitosis and polarization events. Our lab is interested in understanding how centrosomes assemble and which developmental steps require these organelles. In addition we are also investigating how mutations in centrosome or microtubule associated components can lead to the establishment of disease.
