Chaperoned outer membrane protein biogenesis

Our research addresses structural, kinetic and thermodynamic aspects of the chaperone mechanisms underlying protein transport, folding and insertion into the outer membrane. Our central technique is NMR spectroscopy, which we combine with other biophysical and high-resolution techniques. Additional projects relate to the outer membrane of mitochondria, including apoptosis.
