My group is interested in understanding how cells coordinate cell growth and division with cell differentiation. In particular, we focus our attention (1) on the connection between TOR and the Cdk/cyclin complexes and (2) on the function of the anaphase promoting complex or cyclosome (APC/C) in cell differentiation. We use the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe as a unicellular model organism and the mouse as a multicellular system.
