Computational modeling of the diet-gut-health axis

Our group builds comprehensive computational models of the metabolism occurring in human cells and in human-associated microbes. We employ these models together with experimental data to investigate how nutrition and genetic predisposition may affect one's health, and to predict candidate nutrition-based therapeutic approaches. We apply our approach to inherited metabolic diseases and to neurodegenerative diseases.
