Functional analysis of proteases in life and disease

Our work has focused on the functional analysis of proteases in life and disease. We have identified ~60 novel human proteases and defined new roles for these enzymes in cancer, premature aging, and other diseases. We have also developed tools for the global and evolutionary analysis of proteases in mammalian genomes and extended this information to cancer genome projects.
