The research in my lab was focused on molecular mechanisms controlling cell divisions. We have worked primarily with the fly Drosophila melanogaster, addressing cell biological and developmental issues: inheritance of the genetic information (chromosomes) to daughter cells during meiotic and mitotic divisions; developmental control of rate-limiting cell cycle regulators (cyclins, CDK inhibitors).
