My lab works on chromatin and the regulation of gene expression in mammalian development with emphasis on trithorax-Group action. We identified the PHD finger and the first histone 3 lysine 4 methyltransferase complex and have a current focus on the epigenome from germ cells to adult. To help unravel the epigenome, we developed a variety of methods, including ligand activated conditional mutagenesis (e.g. CreERT) and recombineering.
