The main focus of research in our laboratory is activation of the NF-kB transcription factor by the ubiquitn system and its role in cancer pathogenesis. Special emphasis is given to the mechanisms of processing of the p105 precursor to the p50 active subunit. We are attempting to decode the ubiquitin proteolytic signal by characterizing different modes of ubiquitination – including mono- and oligoubiqutination.
