Mechanisms of eukaryotic chromosome replication

We study the initiation of eukaryotic DNA replication at the molecular level to understand how chromosomes are copied only once per cell cycle. We are also interested in how DNA replication occurs through chromatin and how sister chromatid cohesion is established at the replication fork. We combine biochemistry and structural biology to generate mechanistic models that explain genome stability maintenance.
