Our lab focuses on exploring how single cells collaborate within tissues to achieve their common functions. Disrupted cellular interactions can lead to decreased tissue function or even carcinogenesis. Collaboration happens not only across cell types; there is also heterogeneity within cell types. We use quantitative approaches to study cellular and subcellular heterogeneity while preserving information about the spatial tissue context.
