The primary interest of the lab is the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. In the past, we were mainly focusing on RNA decay pathways. More recently, we got interested in the role of non-canonical cytoplasmic poly(A) and poly(U) polymerases in shaping gene expression programs in metazoa. In our work, we combine transcriptomic approaches with genetics and biochemistry.
