Spatiotemporal segregation of signaling molecules has a key role in activating specific downstream responses, and this is achieved by generating dynamic microdomains that protect and amplify receptor signalling. The assembly of signaling microdomains requires the interplay of membrane receptors, cytoskeletal proteins, plasma membrane lipids and subcellular organelles. We study signaling compartmentalization and amplification in immune cells.
