Our group is interested in RNA metabolism in plants. We focus on microRNA biogenesis and functional connections of this process with transcription and other RNA processing events: splicing, RNA methylation and polyadenylation. In our research we use the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, but also two important crop plants: barley and potato. We investigate molecular responses of A. thaliana as well as crop plants to abiotic stresses.
