We are interested in brain development. We use genetic and molecular approaches to unravel the regulatory interactions and signaling pathways which regulate the differentiation of neural progenitors and neurons. Our main tool is Drosophila, although we also use mouse models. The goal is to unravel the genetic interactions which control the behavior of neurons from their specification to the establishment of functional neuronal circuits.
