We study the structure-function relationship in proteins and their complexes. We adopt an integrated structural biology approach to obtain a dynamic picture of proteins (X-ray crystallography, X-ray scattering and cryo-electron microscopy). Our research includes complexes between plasma proteins and their receptors, neuroglobin and P450 cytochromes involved in antibiotic synthesis. We analyse protein function and dynamics using a range of biochemical methods, including kinetics and spectroscopy.
