My group is investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms of meiotic recombination using mouse as a model system. Meiotic recombination is essential for sexual reproduction and proceeds through the programmed induction of DNA double strand breaks followed by their repair through homologous recombination. We develop complementary strategies and tools to analyze in particular the process of double strand formation and its regulation.
