Structure, function and repair of visual circuits

We are interested in understanding how neuronal cell types interact in local neuronal networks in the visual system to compute behaviorally relevant functions and how the specific neuronal circuits develop. Furthermore we wish to control cells of the visual system in different forms of blinding diseases to restore visual function.
