The long-term objective of my lab is to decipher the genetic and epigenetic blueprints of cortical development, evolution and disease. To accomplish this, we study the interplay between transcription factors, epigenetic regulation and gene expression in the mammalian brain. Our research is highly interdisciplinary and combines single cell -omics, massively parallel reporter assays, CRISPR-based perturbations, and computational biology.
