Actin complexes in cell adhesion and the nucleus

My research focusses on the interplay between actin and actin binding proteins, primarily in two cellular locations: (a) the adhesion aggregates of mammalian tissue forming cells engaged in cell motility, cell-cell and cell-substratum contacts, and (b) actin and partners residing in the eukaryotic nucleus. We generate motif-specific monoclonal antibodies and combine molecular and cell biology with biochemistry and immunocytochemistry.
