We study the biology of T lymphocytes, with a special focus on gamma-delta T cells, and their key roles in tissue (patho)physiology. In the disease setting, we employ murine models of infection, inflammatory diseases and cancer. We also investigate human T cell differentiation and functions, aiming at an improved molecular understanding of these processes and, ultimately, at the development of novel immunotherapeutic approaches for cancer.
