Our research focuses on the ways in which environmental agents, including drugs, toxins and dietary components, can induce changes in genome packaging, as chromatin, and thereby alter gene expression patterns. We have a particular interest in how enzyme-catalyzed, post-translational modifications of histones are involved in this process and in the heritability of induced changes.
