My lab works at the interface of behavior, circuit neuroscience, metabolism, microbiome, and physiology to discover and characterize conserved mechanisms regulating how organisms decide what to eat and how these decisions affect their health and well-being. We also contributed to developing novel technologies to study food choice and nutrition in Drosophila (e.g. flyPAD), making the fly a powerful system to study homeostasis and physiology.
