My group is interested in the functional coordination between transcription, 3' end processing, quality control and nuclear export of mRNA. We mainly focus on the role of ubiquitin conjugation in organizing the dynamics of molecular scaffolds responsible for these coupling events. We also attempt to understand how ubiquitylation of the nuclear pore complex interferes with its role in the spatial organization of gene expression.
