Stem cells in homeostasis and cancer
Our lab is studying how stem cells contribute to the development, homeostasis and repair of different epithelia including the skin epidermis, the mammary gland and the prostate. We are studying the role of adult epithelial stem cells during cancer initiation as well as the role of cancer stem cells during tumor growth and resistance to medical therapy.
