Cellular mechanisms of neurodegeneration

Dementia caused by neurodegenerative diseases is one of the major social economical problems of our ageing society. My lab is devoted to the identification of the cellular and molecular mechanisms causing Alzheimer's Disease, Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. My major goal is to provide target molecules/mechanisms which can be therapeutically modulated.
