Classifying and predicting protein functions

Our research explores how proteins function and evolve – how do relatives diverge in structure and function and evolve to operate in different biological contexts? We develop the CATH classification of protein domains, a partner resource in InterPro and widely accessed. We use CATH to predict protein structures and functions, and to predict protein networks and detect new players and associations in signalling pathways and biological systems.
