My group uses biophysical and biochemical approaches to learn about the molecular mechanisms of transcription regulation in eukaryotes, where DNA is packaged into chromatin. In the context of chromatin, we are interested in DNA-recognition by transcription factors, their interactions with co-activators, general transcription factors and chromatin remodelers and how RNA polymerases are recruited to the transcription start site.
