Arthropod vector genomics and bioinformatics

My lab at the IMBB was involved in research on molecular processes during the mosquito stages of Plasmodium parasites. Furthermore, we concentrated on the genomics and bioinformatics of arthropod disease vectors, with a particular focus on the development of ontologies and databases for disease vectors and vector-borne diseases, as well as for agricultural pest insects. Since mt retirement I am involved in the writing of popularized science (biology and medicine)books (in Greek).
