RNA processing and regulation
Messenger RNA (mRNA) plays a central role in eukaryotic gene expression by mediating the flow of genetic information from DNA to protein. We use structure-function approaches to understand how molecular machines process, package, and export mRNA, and how these events are regulated. Our goal is to elucidate molecular mechanisms governing gene expression.
