Bacterial protein-protein interactions

In my laboratory we investigate how bacteriocins use protein-protein interactions to translocate across the bacterial cell envelope. We also exploit bacteriocins as specific probes of cell envelope structure and organization in Gram-negative bacteria. We adopt a multidisciplinary approach in dissecting biological function that incorporates protein chemistry and engineering, molecular biophysics, structural biology and in-vivo imaging.
