My laboratory is studying the molecular basis of plant innate immunity, and more generally of receptor kinase-based signaling. I aim to understand how perception of external stimuli by plant cells leads to signalling events that allow plants to adapt to environmental changes, with a particular focus on those occurring during infection. This knowledge is also aimed at developing biotechnological solutions to improve disease resistance in crops.
