CDK-dependent regulation of gene expression

Our lab is using biochemical and cell-based assays to study roles of metazoan cyclin-dependent kinases 11 (CDK11) and 12 (CDK12) in the regulation of gene expression. In particular, we are interested in their functions in transcription elongation and pre-mRNA splicing. We are also interested in links between regulation of gene expression and cell cycle progression and how to target CDK11 and CDK12 in cancer therapies.
