Our original work on the identification of the glycerophosphoinositols, is now centered on their role in the immune and inflammatory responses in lymphocytes. In parallel, we are elucidating the molecular mechanisms involved in the fission of intracellular membranes, based on our original identification of the protein BARS, an essential element of a machinery involved in the Golgi fragmentation during mitosis, and in other membrane traffic steps.
